- All Ford Thunderbirds welcome!
Welcome to Water Wonderland Thunderbird Club
WWTC was established in 1981 as a not-for-profit Michigan organization. We are also a local chapter of the Vintage Thunderbird Club International (VTCI), the Classic Thunderbird Club International, and International Thunderbird Club.
WWTC is dedicated to the preservation of all Thunderbird automobiles. Our members are from all walks of life, sharing one common interest: the love of Thunderbirds.
We plan at least one social activity per month and have been referred to as the 'Eating Club with a Driving Disorder'. If you haven't found your special Thunderbird yet, you can still join us to make T-Bird friends while you continue your search.
About Us
In 2025 the Ford Thunderbird is celebrated its 70th Anniversary. This year the Water Wonderland Thunderbird Club is celebrating its 45th year.
Our club was established in 1981 as a not-for-profit Michigan organization. We have grown to be the largest Thunderbird Club in Michigan with over 120 members. We are dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of all Thunderbird automobiles. Our members are from all walks of life, sharing one common interest: the love of Thunderbirds.
We provide and share technical advice to our members, encourage participation in community events where our cars can be on display and shared with others, and provide our members with an opportunity to join other like-minded individuals in sharing their Thunderbird stories and adventures.
We are especially proud of the fact that our club sponsors two annual automotive tech scholarships for $1000.00 each to a graduating student pursuing a career in auto mechanics. Our scholarships are given in cooperation with the Wayne Westland Community School District and the Plymouth Canton Community Schools.
Please consider joining us as we celebrate America's first luxury sports car!
